Which unova starter is the best

Snivy is the Grass -Type Snake Pokemon. At level 16, it evolves into grass type Servine. At level 36, Snivy will evolve to the super fast pokemon Serperior. Serperior will remain a pure grass type. It would not be a great choice if you want an all out attacking Pokemon. Use Serperior for more defensive strategies without having to worry about striking last.

Tepig is the Fire -Type Pig Pokemon. At level 16, it evolves into fire-fighting type Pignite. At level 36, Tepig will evolve to the powerful Emboar. While evolving, it will gain the Fighting -Type trait along with Fire. Remember, dual types are like a double edged sword. Interested in joining the giveaway? Click here! Respond Ignore User Report. Age Oshawott, duh. If anyone knows me, I cannot go without Oshawott if it's obtainable in a game and this was going to be no exception. Mine didn't get an impressive nature but that didn't stop me using him at times.

Gone forever for personal reasons. Visit my Tumblr page if you wish to contact me. Even though I got those unova HA starters and I choose grass and fire and fire again.

Now I pick Oshawott because the little guy is cuter on battle. Originally Posted by Hikamaru [ Original Post ]. Originally Posted by Sopheria [ Original Post ]. It evolves into Servine starting at level 17, which evolves into Serperior starting at level The best starter Pokemon is Bulbasaur.

Though he may not be the strongest starter initially, he provides the best type diversity for your team and is a worthwhile time investment. When we talk about starter Pokemon, a few names will pop up; Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur.

These three were the first starters among all seven generations. Collectible card games. There's no glaring downside to Samurott, making it the most balanced overall. This adds an extra layer of Type coverage that Tepig gets that the other starters don't ever get. Snivy has the fastest Speed stat compared to Tepig and Oshawott and can be seen before any of them evolve even when most of their stats are nearly identical.

The gap is even greater by the time they reach their final evolutions, so much so that Serperior's Speed is almost double that of Emboar's.

Oshawott is a pure Water Type, and unlike Tepig never gets a secondary typing from any of its evolutions. While Snivy shares this same feature, Grass Types are weak to five different Types whereas Water only has two Types that are Super Effective against it. This isn't even a trade-off since both Water and Grass are Resistant to four different Types. Not just that, but Water's only Weaknesses are to Grass and Electric Types both of which are fairly under-represented overall.

This makes Oshawott one of the safer picks due to its low amount of Weaknesses.
