I did want to run up real quick and grab the Mr. Mime by taking the Diglett Cave. While in there, once on my way there, and once on my way back, I encountered a lvl 31 Dugtrio. After weakening it to just above barely living, putting it to sleep, and using 3 poke balls and 1 great ball that was all that I had at that time , I still couldn't catch it.

I'd much rather have that guy than start out with the lvl 21 Diglett that I already caught. Any advice or help? I appreciate any you can give.
