His poke is much stronger than yours, his ultimate is able to cancel the channel on your Q, and his damage in an all-ins can easily take you back. I would highly recommend playing a poke based build into this lane.

Wukong has the potential to snowball just as hard as Darius, but the reason I don't consider him a Level 5 threat is because of you being able to outscale him! Building Plated Steelcaps and Bramble Vest should be enough to negate the majority of his poke, leaving his damage reliant on extended trades. In general, his clone attacks while the player moves, so paying attention to which is which can be critical to your survival.

His Q reduces your already non existent armour in the early game essentially dealing true damage and his W clone can remove all of the stacks on him and place them onto his clone, making your rend stacks on him worthless if not timed correctly. His E is an amazing gap closer to your passive and his ultimate completely immobilises you, rendering you helpless to his burst.

Avoid this matchup if possible or ban. Play passive asf and only go for trades when his W clone is down. HIs R knocks you up twice so just R in response and disengage then immediately go back in to trade if your HP isn't that low and he can't do shit if all his abilities are on cooldown.

Later on to the game you outscale him and he can't really match you, he will need an ally to help him and it's better to Splitpush since his Teamfight is really strong due to the fact he can spam Knockups with clone.

In a straight up all in Wukong gets so much armor from his passive but if you take trades where you only let him stack it up a little bit then disengage it can be hard for wukong to sustain through that damage. Typically you want to get him down to atleast half before committing to an all in.

Again the reason you want to get his hp down some before fighting is so that he cant survive long enough to stack his passive all the way up. Its imporant if you are diving wukong that you try to burn his ultimate or his clone before committing to the dive.

A small little thing, not good for much more than peeling fruit. Or slicing the throat of a tired old farmer. They were about to kill the old man, no matter how safe Yi wanted to play it.

We had no time to go slow. I leapt out of the brush, staff held high, and smacked the blade out of his hand. Then we got to my favorite part. Whenever I get the drop on somebody, I usually get about a two to three second window as they try to make sense of me. Most people have never seen a vastaya, much less a Shimon. I drove my knee into the lead bandit's chin, and his teeth clacked together so hard, even I winced at the sound. I tried not to imagine Yi smirking to himself. Likely staying out of the fight just long enough for me to get my teeth kicked in, so he could leap in, save me, and shout that he told me to slow down.

I always keep a few on me. I held my staff out and twirled around, aiming high so as to avoid the prone old man. My arms shuddered with every impact of wood against skull. I dodged blows, parried strikes, and only got punched in the face, like, twice. By the time the smoke cleared, I was the only one still standing. Well, me and the old man, once I got him to his feet.

You were impatient, reckless, and you absolutely made the right call. Crushing Blow's cast time scales with his attack speed.

Whenever Wukong or his decoy deal damage with basic attacks or abilities, Crushing Blow's cooldown is reduced by 0. The decoy prioritizes enemies Wukong has recently attacked. The decoy gains bonuses from Crushing Blow and Nimbus Strike. The decoy's Cyclone will start spinning and knock-up enemies that haven't been knocked-up already from the initial ultimate cast.

Nimbus Strike' s attack speed bonus is paused while spinning. Wukong can cast other abilities to cancel his ultimate, stopping its spin.

E - Nimbus Strike. Patch R - Cyclone. Q damage decreased. W clone damage decreased. Q - Crushing Blow. W - Warrior Trickster. Passive increases stats for fighting champions instead of based on proximity. W now has a dash and a decoy that mimics basic attacks and abilities. R can now be cast twice. One of our primary goals of this update is to give Wukong more of that true trickster playstyle that it felt like he was missing. As a result, we're giving his combat pattern more versatility and ways to outplay his opponents.

This monkey may finally be able to trick people instead of just one-shot whacking people with his staff. In addition, we want to power up his bruiser, top, and jungle builds, since his mid and assassin builds while strong did not feel as satisfying to play or play against. Passive - Stone Skin. Patch 9. Wukong is far from the king of the jungle after the most recent round of changes. A boost to his early attack speed should help his early clears and make him more consistent on the map.

Q damage ratio decreased. Wukong's burst damage is too high for a champion who has both a dash and invisibility to reduce the amount of time opponents have to respond. Q ratio increased at later ranks. W - Decoy. Cyclone's total attack damage ratio has been reduced. Now that Wu's found a position that circumvents his natural weaknesses, we can tune some of his high damage - particularly when he comes roaring out of the jungle with raw offensive items. We considered other options but realized most didn't do enough to tackle his overbearing damage in the early ranks as an example, removing the armor shred on Crushing Blow versus neutral monsters has minimal impact if you consider how much armor they begin with.
