My Ladders this tab contains a list of all ladders where you are a member or administrator. If you are administrator you will see additional settings to allow you to administer the ladder. My Clubs this tab contains a list of all clubs where you are a member of a club ladder or club administrator. If you are administrator you will see additional settings to allow you to administer the club.

My Challenges this tab allows you to view and edit your challenges and enter the challenge result. To create a new Sports ladder you will need to register with the site, then Login and select 'Setup New Ladder' in the Navigation menu. Join Ladder this gives you the option of automatically joining the ladder once it is created.

You can still administer the ladder without joining and should only join if you are planning to participate on the ladder. Add to Club this gives you the option of adding the ladder to a club, you must be the administrator of the club to be able to do this.

To create a new Sports club you will need to register with the site, then Login and select 'Setup New Club' in the Navigation menu. The site uses two ranking systems, 'Traditional Ladder' and 'Points'. These two systems work side by side, so when scores are entered both ladder rankings and points will be assigned to each player based on the score. Members will then be able to see their ladder positions sorted by either ladder rank or points.

The ladder administrator will also be able to set a 'Preferred Ranking System' parameter to either 'Ladder Rank' or 'Points' which will indicate the Ranking system by which a winner will be decided. That is not to say that winners couldn't be both decided on Points and Ladder Rank!

Traditional Ladder Ranking If the winner is of lower rank than the opponent, they will move up to the opponents rank and the opponent and all players in-between move down one position. If the winner is of higher rank than the opponent, no rank changes will be made. Points Ranking It is expected that the points system will be used for teams wishing to score on a league basis where each player plays every other a fixed number of times.

The best players in the world began their careers on a squash ladder. It was the first recorded competition they had. And when they became number one on their local squash club ladders, they went on to becoming number one in the region, country, and maybe the world.

The only difference is the elevated skill level for each corresponding tier. Both arenas resonate deeply with the players involved. The club pro and squash director can help. The club pro and squash director try to keep the peace with each new entry onto the ladder. But, with that said, feathers will be ruffled regardless.

None of the players on the squash ladder will go down without a fight. That includes the player at the bottom. You can challenge the player ahead of you for the first match.

If you win, you can continue to challenge up until you lose. Keep in mind that the usual schedule of play on a ladder is one week to challenge up and the following week to defend. This may vary depending on the club and how active the squash membership is. The important part of all of this is to report your wins as soon as possible to keep the ladder up to date. A squash ladder is constantly changing if it is active and especially if new players arrive on the scene.

The squash ladder is the first place every new player will check after seeing the courts. The physical squash ladder board should be right near the courts — making it easy to find. New players want to see the competition and the ladder will tell them what they need to know. Needless to say, the squash ladder will be the center of attention; and the way it is managed is one of the most important components to any successful squash program.

The squash ladder should show the names of all the players involved with contact information like an email for every participant. Most do not like to have their cell numbers listed. Some clubs have so many players that a separate ladder is needed for the men, women and juniors. The juniors are then divided by gender and can go further into age groups.

A player becomes ranked upon the first win against a ranked player. A player that has been inactive during a whole month will be dropped by one rank on the first day of the following month. Results should be entered as soon as possible after a match. Players should agree on who will enter the score. When an unranked player wins against a ranked player, the unranked player must report the score.

Rules of Play Ladder matches are best-of-5 games. Games are scored to 9 points, where only server scores a point.
